I thought it would be easier …
Choosing favourite pictures from my birthday weekend in Barcelona took me more time than I could even imagine. I decided to create 4 collage with my favourite places.
1. Mediterranean Sea– I love the port and the beach, I could just sitting there and watching the sea all day long.
2. BRUNCH&CAKE – my favourite place ever! This little café has just about everything you could ever possibly desire. We ate there every breakfast and dinner, it was so delicious that we didn’t need to (didn’t want to :) looking for other place. Brunch & Cake serves not only breakfast all day (french toast, pancakes, omelettes), but also salads, soups and sandwiches. Coffee and sweet things like French toast, cakes, pancakes and banana cake are so yummy too. Everything on the menu seems so great, it’s hard to pick! My breakfast was outstanding! Simple oatmeal but so delish. For lunch I took chicken salad with avocado, the best one I’ve ever had. I swear I would have licked the plate if I was alone! ;p Atmosphere is great, staff very friendly and attentive. Must try when you are in Barcelona! A memorable experience that I would repeat.
3. Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria – Brilliant food market with an enormous variety of fresh foods. This market is a sensory feast with all the best that Spain has to offer. The freshly squeezed juices are an absolute bargain at €1 each as are the fresh fruit salads. In this market you ought to be able to find anything you want to cook: every type of fruit, vegetable, meat, fish. Perfect place for fruits lover like me!
4. Barcelona is a big city full of culture, great food, architecture, streets to explore. One of the best things to do is wander around the streets and just take it all in … discover narrow streets, lovely squares, admiring the city’s modernist architecture, and the works of Antoni Gaudí in particular.
It is so great to look back and once again feel the spirit of the city!
